Breaking wedding suit news



Describing Robert Pattinson's role in Breaking Dawn - Part 1 as "basically just as a prop" could be considered unfair if it wasn't for the fact that he said it himself - specifically referring to his role in the big wedding. "It's such a clear indication of whose day it is when you're standing on the other end of the aisle and the entire congregation is looking at the girl, and you're in the same suit as every other guy in the place just kind of waiting there," the Twilight multiplex idol proclaimed at the LA press conference in November. "Any guy who tries to get involved in organising a wedding or even has an opinion of what their wedding should be is kind of ridiculous."

While Pattinson is clearly not a fan of Don't Tell The Bride, GQ.com would have to take issue with his claim that everyone was looking at Kristen Stewart. The Cullen clan's wedding outfits - black tailcoats and trousers, white waistcoats, shirts and bow ties - were conceived by the film's costume designer Michael Wilkinson and were made by Brioni in Milan. "We put a lot of care and attention into the men's tailoring as well, because I knew there'd be lots of careful deconstructing of that look from our audience," Wilkinson told us. "Getting inside the mind of Alice, who wanted to give Edward the wedding that he's been waiting a hundred years for, we have lots of historic references in the choice of fabrics, lines, silhouettes and details. But we really wanted it to be appealing to a contemporary audience, so the look isn't too theatrical or old school, but has a nice, young, fresh quality." In other words, deathless style - perfect for a 110-year-old groom who at the same time doesn't look a day over 17...
